During her acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress in The Fighter at Sunday's Oscars, Melissa Leo dropped the F-bomb.
?Yeah, I am kind of speechless," the actress, 50, said as she took the stage. "When I watched Kate [Winslet] two years ago, it looked so f***ing easy."
Although ABC had enough of a broadcast time delay to bleep out the F-bomb, that didn?t stop it from becoming an instant classic acceptance speech.
Backstage, Leo immediately apologized, saying: "I apologize to anyone that was offended," she said. "It was probably a very inappropriate place to use that word in particular."
As for her controversial "For Your Consideration" ads?
"It was no campaign," she said. "I wanted a pretty photograph in a magazine. That's all it was."
